Driving in Milwaukee during peak wintertime can present some challenges for Wisconsin natives. While Milwaukee snow removal services does a respectable job keeping the city’s 7,000 lane miles of streets plowed, homeowners are still responsible for clearing driveways and sidewalks after a snowstorm.

Automated driveway heating systems provide the most efficient and reliable means for keeping driveways and walks clear of snow and ice. Warmzone heated driveways feature durable ClearZone heat cable. The twin-conductor, single-point connection heat cable can be installed in just about any application, including concrete, under pavers, and even in hot asphalt installations. The industry leading cable’s construction features a copper metal sheath and flouropolymer conductor insulation with a polyolefin outer sheath.

Heated paver driveway and parking area. ClearZone heat cable for driveay heating systems is available pre-spaced in easy-to-install mats as well as on spools. The mats are available with 3 or 4-inch spacing, depending on the needs of the system. (Custom spacing is also available.) In addition to the heating element, a radiant heated driveway also utilizes an advanced snow sensor (activation device) and control panel. The sensor can be an aerial mount sensor or a sensor that is embedded in the surface of the driveway. These sensors detect precipitation and temperature. When weather conditions warrant, the sensor signals the controller (usually mounted on a wall in the garage) and power is sent to the heating cable to warm the driveway.

Heated driveways are fully automated, energy efficient and maintenance free. Once the system is installed you can relax and enjoy your coffee in the morning as you look out over your clear, snow-free driveway. Each system is custom designed to meet the specific needs and budget of the homeowner. We work closely with customers to make sure we get things right.

Warmzone system designers produce professional layouts for each heated driveway system. The layouts include the proper layout and materials, proper load calculations, breaker sizes, and number of breakers, so you’ll have all the required information prior to doing any installation. This ultimately saves time and money in the long run. Plus, Warmzone includes installation support, so your installer can call anytime if he has any questions. And in keeping with our industry leading customer services, Warmzone offers free installation training. We team with our customers to ensure the system is installed correctly and performing as expected.

In addition to the heating element, Warmzone automated systems include an aerial or pavement-mount activation device, contactor panel, and marker plate (as required by the NEC).
